Fifty-seven was the team's FINAL YEAR in Brooklyn after which owner Walter O'Malley moved them to Los Angeles. This was also the final year in the majors for Hall of Famer Roy Campanella, who survived an automobile accident in January 1958 but was paralyzed from the waist down.
