Offered is perhaps one of the largest Elvis Presley autographs in existence! On the inside of the lid of this 1950's "Symphonic"-brand record player, Elvis has penned "To Tommy from Elvis Presley / The Year '57'". Elvis' signature is over six inches long, and the fact that the signature is on the inside has preserved it perfectly. The whole inscription remains as bold as the day it was signed for Tommy Young, Elvis' high school classmate. Tommy was a high school friend of George Klein, and in 1957 George re-introduced him to Elvis. Tommy ended up being swept up in the Elvis life for about a year, traveling to shows, recording sessions and often riding motorcycles with Elvis. In August and September 1957, Tommy accompanied Elvis and his friends on the west coast trip including the northwest tour, the Hollywood recording session and the concert in Tupelo, Mississippi.

The mid-1950s Symphonic "Model 1251" has faux leather finish in red and white and would have been in heavy use by music fan like Tommy. That being said, it remarkable presents in working condition. Accompanied by a letter of authenticity from Beckett Authentication. The machine measures 15 x 17 x 9 inches and presents with scuffing on the lid and some mild oxidation to the feet. All original parts are intact. Excellent condition.
