Offered is gorgeous, well-focused photograph of Elvis Presley during a pre-concert press conference on April 2, 1957, at the Maple Leaf Gardens in Toronto, Canada. Just three years into his career, the photo captures the ease with which Elvis now deals with the press, sitting casually, obviously comfortable and in total control of his own narrative and the chaos around him. This photo is most-likely from the press conference prior to the 9:00 PM show, as Elvis is wearing his stage shirt with his black pants. He wore the famous gold lamé jacket for both shows, but he only wore the gold lamé pants for the 6:00 PM show. The laminated photograph measures 3 1/2 x 4 1/2 inches and presents with some toning, and the lamination is loose along the right edge, pulling some of the photo surface away. Very Good condition.
