Offered is an Associated Press original news service photo of Elvis Presley during his Army induction in 1958. The photo was published on March 25, 1958, and the attached original paper caption reads "SINGER Elvis Presley weighs in at Memphis, Tenn., Army induction center. Specialist Steve Kmiec of Philadelphia is behind Presley. In addition to the period Associated Press stamping and editorial markings in pencil, a red stamp in the upper left of the reverse reads "Published Mar 25 1958 Boston Traveler." The Boston Traveler was a daily newspaper later merged into the Boston Herald. The news of the young music and Hollywood phenom was reported all over the country and all over the world. The photo measures 8 1/8 x 8 1/2 inches and presents with expected editorial markings and a series of small stain dots on the front. Excellent to Mint condition.
