Offered is a Paramount Pictures file copy "Dialogue Release Script" for Elvis Presley's 1958 film King Creole. These file copy scripts are normally never seen outside of movie studios as they were produced after the production of the film wrapped for use by motion picture review boards in the United States and in foreign countries. The scripts are incredibly detailed so censors could follow along with the action of the film--they provide a log of every visual action and every audible sound for each scene. The offered King Creole script is dated "June 11, 1958," which is several weeks ahead of the film's domestic release, indicating this copy could have been for foreign or domestic film review boards. This lot is part of a group of scripts from seven of Elvis Presley's films offered in this sale. The photo at left of them all stacked together illustrates that they were movie studio file copies, with their respective titles written on the edges so they could be recognized on the archive shelves. The script measures 8 ½ x 13 inches and presents with expected wear from filing and some “white out” on the cover. Near Mint condition.
