Offered is a complete set of eight lobby cards for Elvis Presley's 1960 film Flaming Star, plus three studio-issued promotional 8x10 inch photos. In his role as Pacer Burton in the movie, Elvis stars opposite Barbara Eden in his critically acclaimed best acting performance. After his film G.I. Blues, Elvis desired to be viewed as a serious actor so he reduced the number of songs in the film from the already few of four to only two. The film tells the story of a rancher (Pacer Burton), whose mother is Kiowa and father is Texan, caught in a battle between two cultures and his loyalty to each. The film, with the working title Black Star, was based on the 1958 novel Flaming Lance by Clair Huffaker. The lobby cards measure 11 x 14 inches and present in Near Mint condition. A very clean set.
