"Johnny Amos" has signed each of the four-offered 1964 Joliet Explorers Team Signed photos, with the inscription "halfback" next to his name. Twenty of his teammates have also signed each photo. Amos became a minor star as Gordy Howard on The Mary Tyler Moore Show, but became a household name as "James Evans Sr.", the father on Good Times from 1974-76. Sadly, Amos passed earlier this year. The Joliet Explorers were a low-level minor league football team formed in 1964 as an expansion club in the United Football League. Amos kicked around minor league football for several years in the 1960s prior to pursuing his acting career. Pre-certified by Beckett Authentic. Each photo measures 5 1/2 x 3 1/2 inches.
