Elvis’ 21st film was shot on location in the tropical paradise of Hawaii, and the working title of the movie went through several evolutions, including Polynesian Paradise, Polynesian Holiday, and Hawaiian Paradise before it was released by Paramount in 1966 under the title Paradise, Hawaiian Style. The film was released in France in August 1966, and this bright, full-color French promotional poster features Elvis wielding giant wooden utensils, ready to “toss” a big bowl of island beauties. Included in the Hawaiian Style salad are co-stars Irene Tsu, Suzanna Leigh, Marianna Hill and Julie Parrish. This massive poster captures the essence of the film with its whimsical illustration, and its red-and-blue design creates a startling display. The poster measures 47 x 63 inches and presents in Excellent condition with several areas of tape reinforcements, but spectactular color.
