Offered is 1968 NBC broadcast used glass "bumper slide" for Elvis Presley's television special known as the '68 Comeback Special. The show was broadcast by NBC on December 3, 1968, and originally simply titled ELVIS. Written on the slide's metal holder is "1968-TK-41-C" and "WPTV-Palm Beach" (the local Palm Beach, Florida, NBC affiliate), as well as references to Elvis and the special. The slide would have been used by WPTV in and out of commercial breaks. Many promotional items from the show's main sponsor, Singer Sewing Machines, are still available for collectors, but very few items from the actual production of the show have surfaced over the years. The slide features the "NBC" logo and "ELVIS" with the channel number for WPTV "5" on the bottom. Elvis is seen with the iconic red Hagstrom electric guitar he used in the opening and closing segments of the show and performed live with for the stand up solo performances. The slide measures 2 x 2 inches and presents in Near Mint condition.
