Offered is a half sheet movie poster promoting Elvis Presley's 1968 film Speedway, co-starring Nancy Sinatra. The film stars Elvis as Steve Grayson, a race car driver whose financial mismanagement has led him to trouble with the IRS. Nancy Sinatra plays Susan Jacks, the IRS agent tasked to recover the debt who becomes Steve’s romantic interest. Significantly, Nancy Sinatra performed the only song to be featured on one of Elvis’ soundtracks. Fittingly, NASCAR star Richard Petty—also known as “The King”—as well as Cale Yarborough make appearances in the movie. The poster measures 28 x 22 inches and presents with a small tear on the left which is repaired on the reverse with paper tape. There are several pieces of the tape on the reverse, as well as small pieces of tape at the corners. Excellent condition.
