The Official National League Spalding (Feeney) baseball has been signed by 25 players, coaches and the manager of the 1970 Chicago Cubs. The signatures include: Leo Durocher (HOF, manager), Jim Hickman, Johnny Callison (traded to Cubs after 1969 season), Bill Hands, Willie Smith, Al Spangler, Glenn Beckert, Roberto Rodriguez (traded to Cubs in June 1970), J.C. Martin (traded to Cubs in March 1970), Phil Regan, Jack Hiatt, Larry Gura, Paul Popovich, Joe Decker, Fergie Jenkins (HOF), Ron Santo (HOF), Milt Pappas, Ken Rudolph, Cleo James, Jim Colborn, Phil Gagliano, Ken Holtzman, Billy Williams (HOF), Ernie Banks (HOF), Don Kesinger. The Northsiders were runners up once again in the National League East in 1970, though not in as dramatic fashion as their late-season collapse the season before. Accompanied by a letter of authenticity from Beckett Authentic. The ball is mildly toned and the signatures grade 6-7 with a few slightly darker.
