Offered is a massive three sheet movie poster created to promote Elvis Presley's 1970 film <em>Elvis: That's the Way It Is</em>. During the 1970 Las Vegas Summer Festival at The International Hotel, MGM film crews captured several of Elvis' concerts on August 10-13 for the documentary film. Additionally, rehearsals for the upcoming Las Vegas concerts were filmed at MGM's Culver City, California, studios in July, and in The International Hotel Ballroom beginning on August 4. While the film waso originally released in November 1970, this and many of the film's posters weren't created until early 1971, hence the offered poster's NSS numbers listed as “'71/8” in the lower right corner of the lower portion. The poster's two pieces measure 41 x 71 inches when assembled. The pieces present with several pin holes at the corners and several areas of tape staining. One tear on the lower portion was repaired with tape. Other than these technical distresses, the poster is gorgeous. Excellent to Mint condition.
