Grade A10 by MEARS Authentication. Offered is a Maurice Lucas game worn Kentucky Colonels home jersey dating from the ABA's 1975-1976 season. The #25 jersey exhibits heavy game use, but presents with no damage. The "Rawlings" tag is on the front bottom of the jersey, and it indicates the size as "44" as well as "5 Inch Extra Length." Lucas was traded to the Colonels from the Spirits of St. Louis after playing 28 games, and appears for the first time with the Colonels on December 18, 1975, against the San Antonio Spurs. Lucas was in the second year of his 14 year career that spanned both the ABA and NBA. In that partial season with the Colonels, he worked himself into playing 30 minutes per game, averaging 15 points and 9.4 rebounds. Also included is a copy of the 1975-76 Kentucky Colonels team photo showing Lucas in his #25 jersey standing right next to teammate Artis Gilmore. The jersey is accompanied by a Letter of Opinion from MEARS Authentication. On the letter, the offered jersey received the firm's highest grade of A10 "with respect to Characteristics & Game Use." Excellent to Mint condition.
