Offered is a Rick Nielsen signed contract for a Cheap Trick concert where they opened for Boston on April 29, 1977, at the Memorial Auditorium in Buffalo, New York. The Buffalo Evening News reported the next day that "Opening was Cheap Trick, a Midwestern band with a new debut album and knack for teen rave-up...Most of all there's a goofy guitarist is a baseball hat who mugs and lurches about the stage in wigged-out abandon. His name is Rick Nielsen and he's the most compelling performer since Paul Stanley of KISS. Cheap Trick? Yes, but it works." Nielsen has signed boldly in blue ink. The band was touring on their debut album, released only two months earlier. This is an extremely early example of a concert-related signed document from the band, who were still more than a year away from their Budokan triumph and ascendancy to rock stardom. Accompanied by an LOA from Beckett Authenticated. Near Mint condition with expected wear from handling.
