Although never having had the good fortune to meet her idol, Loxi Sibley was still successfully able to capture the spirit of Elvis in her paintings of him. The likenesses of Elvis attained in Sibley’s works caught the attention of Lee Cotton, a friend of the Colonel’s, and in 1976, a deal was struck and Boxcar Enterprises purchased Loxi’s artwork of Elvis. Boxcar Enterprises, a Tennessee corporation controlled by Colonel Parker and Elvis, was established in 1974 to consolidate the licensing of Elvis’ image on the bevy of merchandise available at the time. Boxcar took Loxi’s images of Elvis and produced posters that were sold at Elvis’ concerts. The offered posters of the artwork by Loxi Sibley produced by Boxcar Enterprises, have Loxi’s printed signature in the lower right corner and the Boxcar stamp in the lower left corner. The larger two posters measure 21 3/4 x 27 3/4 inches and the smaller version measures 11 x 17 inches. Excellent condition overall with moderate wear, including some wrinkling and creases. There are some tears along the edges, especially on the larger posters.
