Offered is a 1933 handwritten letter signed by actor Tyrone Power from very early in his career. The letter explains to the "Actor's Equity" union how he cannot pay his dues because he as worked so little in the previous year. The letter, written on "Paramount Publix Corporation" letterhead (which the broke actor undoubtedly pinched!), is steeped in irony considering Power was just 2-3 years away from the beginning of a string of hit movies which included Thin Ice, Day-Time Wife, Suez, Blood and Sand, Son of Fury: The Story of Benjamin Blake, The Rains Came, Alexander's Ragtime Band, Second Fiddle, Rose of Washington Square, Jesse James, Brigham Young;, A Yank in the R.A.F., This Above All, The Mark of Zorro and The Black Swan. Accompanied by a COA from Beckett Authentication. The letter's pages measure 8 1/2 x 11 inches, and they present with some toning. Near Mint condition.
