In the early days, Colonel Tom Parker accentuated his honorary title as a southern “Colonel” by dressing the part, wearing a white suit that was often finished off with a classic string necktie. Never to miss a promotional opportunity, Colonel Tom had his own custom string neckties produced, complete with a small label that reads “From COL. TOM PARKER All-Star Shows Madison, Tenn.” The offered example comes right from the files of Trude Forsher, Elvis Presley and Colonel Parker’s West Coast secretary and promotional coordinator in the mid to late-1950s. The tie measures 53 by 1 inches and presents some toning but is otherwise intact. Near Mint condition.
