Offered is a long and detailed letter from Colonel Tom Parker to his west coast/Hollywood secretary, Trude Forsher, which emanates from her archives. The letter details instructions to Trude concerning the Elvis Presley 1958 Christmas Card. The Colonel was still reeling and scrambling from Elvis entering the Army earlier in the year, and he never missed an opportunity to keep his client front and center in people's minds. The December 11, 1958, letter is on Parker's iconic "Thomas A. Parker" covered wagon letterhead and reads in part:

A short line to say hello and wish all of a Merry Christmas. Enclosed isa check which you can use for Christmas to help defray any Expenses you may have in getting the cards out perhaps some postage you what I mean. You can use these cards for your personal use with friends and if you should see a fan or so we are taking care of everything else such as studios, William Morris Agency, RCA, and others so do not use these card for anything other than something form your own direct such as Jeff's and Bruno's and your friends and your other little boy, also be sure and give a hundred or so cards to Bill Polling for his use at Hill & Range and give some to Jean and Dolfi and Anne do this right away...No other news at present we are very busy with getting everything out by Xmas, we will have put out more than 50,000 cards by the end of next week.

50,000! It's amazing we don't see more of these! The card presented here is actually a file copy from Trude Forsher. The letter is signed "Col." and presents in Near Mint condition, with the card slightly lesser.
