Offered is an unusual and large light minty green Elvis Presley stage scarf given to the wife of Dr. Nick, Elaine Nichopoulos in 1975. Elvis' scarves became an integral part of his concerts in the 1970s. He would hand out any number of them to screaming fans in the front row during the show, and of the many different styles he used over the years, the offered light green scarf is very distinct. White was the most popular color scarf Elvis used, with black, light blue, gold and other colors also employed, and the later years saw the introduction of scarves with a facsimile signature. But collectors won't see too many like this one. The scarf was sold by Mrs. Nichopoulos to noted Elvis collector Tom Salva, and a copy of her original 2010 letter describing getting this scarf and one other from Elvis is included. It reads:

In 1975, our family went to Las Vegas as Elvis' guest to see him perform at The Hilton showroom. After the show in the dressing (room) Elvis had many concert scarfs [sic] hanging on a rack. I said to Elvis "Elvis that scarf is such a pretty turquoise blue." Elvis grabbed it and gave it to me and also grabbed a light green one and gave me that one also. These are those two scarfs [sic].

The scarf is also accompanied by a letter from Salva confirming the details of the original transaction. The large scarf measures 37 x 34 inches and presents with no damage, and some fold marks from storage. Near Mint condition.
