Offered is Elvis Presley's black satin robe with red trim. Elvis loved lounging at Graceland in his pajamas and robes, and this light, satiny robe may have been a favorite. The robe was gifted to Ed Hill, member of The Stamps Quartette, during the famous “Jungle Room Sessions” in 1976, where Elvis had a recording session in his living room at Graceland. During these multi-day sessions, Elvis famously brought several musicians and friends up to his bedroom and gave them all sorts of clothing and personal effects. The offered pair of underwear was acquired by Ed Hill during these sessions, and he later sold a large quantity of the clothing and personal effects he received during the sessions to Mike Moon. Included are a copy of the original sales record when Ed Hill sold the robe, among other items, to Mike Moon on March 21, 1982, and a modern letter from Hill confirming that he received many items at the recording session in the Jungle Room at Graceland. The robe is also accompanied by a modern print of an image of the robe on display at Mike Moon's museum, where it was displayed for over 35 years. CLICK HERE to see video taken by a family that visited the museum-the black robe and its red trim can be clearly seen on display! The robe's tag was removed, most-likely when Elvis owned it, but is otherwise free of major defects save some mild wear. Excellent to Mint condition.
