Offered is Elvis Presley's white overcoat worn by him in the late 1960s and early 1970s. Several images shown here show Elvis wearing the coat both backstage on August 1, 1969, at The International Hotel in Las Vegas, and greeting fans either that year or early in 1970. The coat was part of the famous Jimmy Velvet collection and is accompanied by a certificate of authenticity from his "Elvis Presley Museum." Jimmy was one of the earliest collectors to start acquiring Elvis' personal clothing, jewelry and cars directly from his closest associates. The letter reads in part "White double-breasted poplin coat having covered buttons and two front patch pockets. Fully lined with label reading Beau Gentry, Hollywood, California". Beau Gentry was fashionable men's clothing store in Hollywood which Elvis frequented. The accompanying photo shows Elvis wearing the coat in the late 1960s. The coat presents with only mild wear. Near Mint condition.
