Offered is Elvis Presley's long red scarf from his personal wardrobe. The scarf was gifted to Elvis' maid and cook at Graceland, Nancy Rooks. Nancy was always careful to document the items she was given, and the offered scarf has her tidy "EP" handwritten on one corner. This item was kept with several other clothing items belonging to Elvis in a special drawer in Nancy's home for decades. The nylon scarf is bright red with acordian pleats across the garment and a sublte striped pattern. Elvis was partial to scarves in his personal wardrobe in the late 1960's and early 1970's.

Nancy worked as a maid and cook for Elvis Presley at Graceland from 1967 to 1977, and stayed on to work for the family until 1982. She treasured her time working for Elvis and the Presley family, and always enjoyed sharing her memories with fans over the years. She made countless meals for Elvis, including his peanut butter and banana sandwiches. As a member of the Graceland family, Nancy was given any number of household items, decorative pieces or keepsakes that Elvis, Vernon, Elvis' grandmother Minnie Mae or Elvis' Aunt Delta wanted her to have. Sadly, Nancy passed during The annual "Elvis Week" celebrations in Memphis a couple of years ago. The items offered in this auction emanate directly from Nancy's estate and are accompanied by a letter of authenticity from her family.

The scarf measures 46 x 6 inches and presents with signs of wear but no damage. Stunning Near Mint condition.
