Offered is an amazing set of prototype mylar posters created for presentation to Elvis Presley Enterprises with the intention of creating a limited edition poster for "Elvis Week" that would be available for purchase at Graceland during the annual celebration in Memphis. The company that created the prototypes, Reflective Art Images, also created the iconic large mylar banners used to promote Elvis Presley concerts in the 1970s. The firm, known in the 70s as "Flashbacks," produced two different banners at the direction of Colonel Tom Parker, one nearly 12 feet in length, and one nearly 8 feet. While both versions were used at various concert venues, the second banner is the red, white and blue themed version that can be seen behind Elvis at his press conference announcing his Aloha TV special.

The offered posters were created in two different styles and three different color schemes to exhibit the range and creative flexibility of the product. While the Graceland teams were blown away by the impact of the reflective posters, certain monetary concerns kept the project from proceeding. Because of that we have to offer the only complete set of all six versions of the posters that will ever be available to the collector market, that come directly from the company that produced them!

The accompanying "Letter of Provenance" from the owner of Reflective Art Images reads:

This extremely rare 6-piece framed suite of prototype samples printed on Mylar is 1 of only 2 sets that were produced. The prints were made for a special presentation that took place in the Graceland Marketing conference room at Graceland on May 30, 2019. In the meeting were the marketing and merchandising teams from Graceland, the head of Graceland Auctions, and the head of the company that designed and developed the prototypes. The suite of 6 prints has 2 themes, and each theme is in the background colors of green, fuchsia, and blue. The themes are “Elvis 50th Anniversary in Las Vegas”, and “Elvis Week 2019” and were produced as prototypes for a prospective limited edition "Elvis Week" poster. The size of each print before framing is 23 1/4” x 35 1/2”. The prints were produced by the same company that in the 1970s produced two very limited and large Mylar banners ( 3 ft x 12 ft and 21 in x 90 in - quantity of 40 of each ) at the direct and personal request of Elvis and Colonel Tom Parker. Elvis fans and collectors will remember one of these as the red, white and blue Mylar banner hanging behind Elvis during his press conference announcing his "Aloha" concert in 1973. The same head of that company was in the meeting that took place on May 30, 2019 at Graceland. Once these prints are sold there will not be another chance to own them. See photos attached of prints in the conference room of Graceland on May 30th 2019.

Also included are photos of the posters when they were on display in the Graceland offices during the presentation. The posters each measure approximately 23 1/4 x 35 1/2 inches and are framed to an overall size of 24 x 36 inches. Stunning Near Mint to Mint condition.
