Offered is a photo postcard signed by noted operatic bass Feodor Chaliapin, showing him as Don Quixote from his early stage portrayal of the classic Miguel de Cervantes character. Chaliapin would later play the character in the 1933 film version of the story. Also included is a 1946 Modern Library First Edition of the novel by Cervantes. While missing its dust jacket,and with moderate wear, the book's wonderful full-color illustrations are intact throughout. The signed postcard is pre-certified by Beckett Authentic. Excellent condition overall, with the photo lesser with back damage.
