Offered is a nice group of 13 photos, 11 of which capture Elvis Presley greeting fans outside his home on Audubon Drive home in 1956-57. One trio shows Elvis with his motorcycle hat and a police megaphone having some fun with a few fans. The back of one states "Sept 56 Elvis going away to make Love Me Tender in Hollywood," but while that's probably roughly when they were taken, Elvis left for filming on August 16, 1956...close enough. One of the next three is notated on the reverse as "'Pel' & Quinley. This was taken on Sunday Nov 2, 56." This is a reference to Elvis' policeman friend Leon Quinley, who can be seen in two of the shots. The group of five photos show Elvis in a checkered sport coat interacting with fans, a couple of older ladies, no less. The final two photos are in another location, perhaps at a concert venue. Based on the ceiling in the background its an open, commercial space. The photos each measure 3 1/2 x 3 1/2 inches, most are printed on era-appropriate KODAK VELOX PAPER, and present with only minor distresses and various levels of toning, some moderate to heavy. Excellent condition with some lesser.
