Offered is a very early example of a Babe Ruth store model bat , a 1917-22 H&B Babe Ruth 40BR "Dash Dot Dash" Model. The 34" bat has the Louisville Slugger centerbrand with the "Dash Dot Dash" below the "Hillerich & Son" and "40 BR" above it, dating it to the earliest period of Ruth's career. The bat shows moderate to heavy use, but is uncracked and intact. Excellent condition.
