Offered are 8 different production proof sheet file copies for Sports Illustrated posters from 1986 and 1987. The group was acquired directly from Marketcom in 1987. Marketcom was the famous and long-defunct St. Louis licensee for the Sports Illustrated posters that were produced from 1979-1993. Includes: Michael Jordan/John Elway double-sided proof poster-possibly an error. Jordan's serial number was later changed, and Elway's image was eventually switched for another; "Cromalin" proof sheets: Michael Jordan (reversed imaged of the eventual "4453" poster), Walter Payton, Jose Conseco, Jim McMahon (3) and Todd Christensen. These Cromalin proofs were used for final color correction prior to printing. The pieces measure just larger or smaller than 23 x 35 inches. Near Mint condition overall, with some just lesser and with color correction notes.
