1977 RCA HUGE Record Store Banner for Elvis Presley's LP Moody Blue - "Artist of the Week"

Offered is a huge and rarely seen 1977 RCA record store poster promoting Elvis Presley's LP Moody Blue. The album was released on July 17, 1977, less than a month before Elvis passed. Moody Blue was initially issued on blue vinyl, with a first run of 250,000 copies when released. This poster promotes the "Limited Quantity Pressed on Blue Vinyl!" The headline exclaims "ELVIS ARTIST OF THE WEEK." The album did sell better than expected upon its release, and then, of course, exploded after Elvis' death on August 16, 1977. This poster hails from that short period just prior. A very unusual survivor from the final weeks of Elvis' career. The poster measures 50 x 38 inches and presents with minor edge wear.
