The offered ring was worn on stage by Elvis Presley in Lake Tahoe, Nevada, at the Sahara Tahoe Hotel. As he exited the stage after a concert one evening, Elvis handed the ring to security guard Jere Walker. Elvis was notoriously generous with the members of his inner circle, but equally so with security and other concert personnel. The 14K gold nugget style ring sports 33 diamonds, with one larger center stone circled by 12 smaller stones and the remaining 17 stones scattered about the surface like so many nighttime stars. The accompanying letter of authenticity signed by Jere Walker reads, in part,

I have worked in Lake Tahoe, Las Vegas and Laughlin gaming for more than 40 years. During the 70s, I was employed at the Sahara Tahoe as a security guard. I went on to work at several properties in management including the Colorado Belle-Edgewater in Laughlin and the Gold River in Mesquite. I was first assigned to Elvis and his entourage in the summer of '73. Elvis and I quickly became friends as well as many of his guys. There were many great moments with Elvis including a ride down the service elevator from his 14th floor suite which got stuck in the basement level. I was forced to pry open the doors while Red and Sonny crawled out of the tight gap with Elvis dressed for that night's performance. I must admit that I was quite nervous about the safety for all of us...Elvis gave me this diamond stage ring after he exited the stage one evening. He requested that I locate a couple of female fans that had sat front row. I was happy to locate them after the show and invite them up to his suite on the 14th floor for another party. It has one center stone surrounded by many smaller diamonds covering it, both at the center stone and around the surface.

Also included with the ring are copies of a 1994 feature article on Mr. Walker from Elvis International Forum magazine and a copy of a 2002 letter from the magazine's publisher inviting Jere to be a featured speaker at a “Friends of Elvis” fan event. Elvis was partial to the "gold nugget" style ring, and he owned many during the 1970s. The offered chunk of gold and diamonds is a picture perfect example of the type of ring that caught Elvis' eye. The “14K” is still readable on the interior of the shank. The size 9 ring weighs a hefty 38.4 grams and presents with only mild wear. Near Mint condition.
