The National Westminster Bank Limited check was written on September 5, 1977, in the amount of £702 payable to “Arthur Young McClelland Moores Co.” The check was written by John to transfer funds from MACLEN (Music) LTD (the company set up to handle the U.S. publishing of songs by Lennon and McCartney) to what was the Beatles' and Apple Corporation's accounting firm.
