Offered are two incredible Babe Ruth color photographs made from the original negatives. The images capture Ruth at the 1946 Old Timers Game at Fenway Park in Boston. The were taken by St. Louis Cardinals infielder George "Specs" Torporcer who was an avid amatuer photographer. The center section of the display describes how Torporcer came to take the photos. "While in Rochester (NY), Specs developed a relationship with a new upstart company called the EASTMAN KODAK COMPANY...While at the Old Timers Game at Fenway Park, with an experimental camera and film from KODAK, he captured the only known true color photographs of the Great Bambino." These negatives didn't surface for nearly 70 years, and the results are these breathtaking photographs. Additionally, each has been signed by Babe Ruth's granddaughter, Linda Ruth and dated 2022. LOA for each photo from Beckett Authentic. Framed to 30 x 16 inches. Near Mint to Mint condition.
