Offered is one of the last (if not THE last) foul balls Mickey Mantle hit at Yankee Stadium during his legendary career. Our consigor's father was at the game the Yankees played against the Cleveland Indians on September 24, 1968, when Mick hit the offered ball into the stands behind home plate to the right side. He was lucky enough to snag the foul, and a few days later his wife sent it to Yankees CEO and President (and future team Owner) Mike Burke explaining the story of the ball being caught and requesting that Mickey sign it. About a week after that, the ball showed up with Mickey's signature on the sweet spot! The Official American League baseball is well toned, but Mantle's perido signature can still be seen on the sweet spot. Mickey did play his final game at Yankee Stadium the next day, but to our knowlege another foul ball has never surfaced. Accompanied by LOA from Beckett Authentic and LOA from our consignor attesting to the authenticity of the ball. Very Good to Excellent condition.

Mickey Mantle Signed Foul Ball Caught September 24, 1968, at Yankee Stadium - Possibly His Last!
