Offered is a 1959 Willard Mullin Original Artwork for Northwestern University Football. The artwork tells the story of Northwestern's 4-0 start to the 1959 football season. The Wildcats would rattle of 6 straight victories to start that season, but finished with a "meow" losing their last three contests. Mullin RARELY did illustrations for football, with the bulk of his work focusing on Major League baseball. With Mullin's handwritten notations on the reverse-"DO NOT CRUSH", etc. The artwork measures 15 x 20 inches and presents with expected editorial wear. Near Mint condition.
