Assembled from Vending!
This lot is part of a collection that our consignor put together in the late-1970s and early 1980s. When he was a teenager, he discovered his first baseball card shop in Chicago. As luck would have it, the owners that opened the shop had established part of their initial inventory with the purchase of a huge cache of undisturbed Topps vending that stretched back to the 1950s. For several years, our consignor would spend hours each week assembling his sets out of this vending find. The result is one of the freshest looking group of baseball, football, hockey and basketball sets we have ever seen. While the cards are not technically perfect in every way, the surface quality, front and back, is remarkable, and the cards are generally higher grade with a super-fresh quality and tremendous eye-appeal. We hope you enjoy the opportunity to acquire items from this special collection.
