Offered is a blue nylon scarf with Elvis Presley's facsimile signature which Elvis wore on stage and gave to a fan in the crowd during a concert in Ft. Worth, Texas in 1976. Elvis played twice in Ft. Worth that summer, once in June and once in July. At one of these shows, the a fan caught one of the scarves that Elvis tossed into the crowd. Her newphew's note accompanies the scarf: "My aunt saw Elvis Presley in concert in 1976 at the Tarrant County Convention Center in Fort Worth Texas and received a scarf from him during his performance. She misplaced her concert ticket and is unsure of the exact date, however he played Fort Worth on both June 3 and July 3, 1976. The scarf is a Blue Square Cornered Polyester Scarf with a Navy Blue Facsimile Signature measuring approximately 33 ½ x 33 ½ inches and exhibits perspiration stains. The scarf if accompanied by the Souvenir Tour Folio and Souvenir Tour Button she acquired at the Souvenir Stand."

For an Elvis Presley show attendee in the 1970s, there was nothing better than getting to sit close to the stage (or just rushing up there!) and having Elvis pull one of his signature scarves off of his sweat-stained neck and hand it to you. He did it dozens of times each night, for years on end, but the gesture never, ever lost its devastating impact on his fans. These scarves became treasured keepsakes, packed away safely, perhaps only brought out on special occasions to show uninitiated younger family members or children a piece of Elvis. Also included is a 3 1/2 inch diameter souvenir button and tour photo folio. The scarf presents with some heavy stains which are likely sweat or a mixture of sweat and makeup. Excellent condition.
