Offered are nine 35 mm color slides of Elvis on-stage and off stage during the filming of Elvis: That’s The Way It Is. These images capture Elvis' building passion and commitment to the approaching live show during the rehearsal process on the MGM lot. The shots from the Las Vegas concerts are the culmination of all the hard work, when the energy that is seen building in the rehearsal photos final is released to the concert goers.

The two-hour movie captured Elvis just as he was: no script, no sets, and no tricks, simply a raw Elvis. A brilliant new idea for fans to get a glimpse behind the scenes as this Hollywood star transitioned back to live performances. The MGM crew, directed by two-time Academy Award winner Denis Sanders, filmed Elvis’ performances on August 10, 11, 12 and 13, 1970. Parts of the documentary include him relaxing in his hotel suite with various members of his entourage, footage of fans offering commentary about what Elvis means to them, as well as coverage capturing the arrival of celebrities for the opening night of the show, including Sammy Davis, Jr., Cary Grant, George Hamilton, and Juliet Prowse. Elvis belts out many of the tunes that he can be seen rehearsing earlier in the film. RCA released a soundtrack album in conjunction with the documentary movie and the concert film reached number 22 on the Variety Box Office Survey. Each 35mm slide measures 2 by 2 inches, and the group is accompanied by a letter of authenticity from Graceland Authenticated. The slides present in Excellent condition.
