The offered piece of fan-created collage art features a boldly black marker signature of Elton John among the various photos of Elton and John Lennon. The piece commemorates the November 28, 1974, appearance of John Lennon on stage with Elton John at Madison Square Garden. It would be Lennon's final concert appearance with his untimely death at the hands of a mentally ill fan coming six years later. The MSG concert appearance by Lennon was famously the the result of a bet, of sorts, between the two performers. Elton John had played piano and sang on two songs during the recording sessions for Lennon's 1974 album Bridges and Walls, including "Whatever Gets You Through the Night." To that point, John was the only former Beatle who had never had a #1 hit as a solo act, and Elton bet him that if "Whatever" became a #1 record he would have to play Madison Square Garden with him. Well, lo and behold, the rest is history. The three songs Lennon performed with Elton John that night were the new song, "Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds," and "I Saw Her Standing There." The evening meant a lot to both men, and Elton was in tears on stage. The offered fan art is a fitting tribute with a beautiful example of Elton John's signature.

The signed collage is accompanied by a letter of authenticity from Beckett Authentic. The piece measures 10 x 8 inches and presents in Near Mint condition.
