Offered is a rare FULL TICKET to Elton John's historic Dodger Stadium concert on Saturday, October 25, 1975. The ticket sports the "Captain Fantastic" logo and type treatment from his LP Captain Fantastic and the Brown Dirt Cowboy released a few months earlier. The offered ticket is for the first of two sold out shows at the Stadium, with opening acts Emmylou Harris and Joe Walsh. Elton tore through 30+ songs each night to the massive crowds, spending part of both sets clad in his bedazzled Dodgers uniform. Photographer Terry O'Neill took some of the most iconic photos of Elton at the shows, including the one included here, and he has tried to explain the context and scale of Elton's career in that moment: "You have to remember - in October 1975, no one was bigger than Elton John," O'Neill said. "He was like Elvis at the height of his career. It is impossible to try to explain to people today what it was like -- numerous number one albums, touring non-stop, recording non-stop, media, press, television ... he was everywhere." And to think someone DIDN'T use this ticket! Accompanying the ticket is a modern 11 x 14 inch photo of Elton on stage during the set of shows. The unused ticket measures 5 x 2 inches and presents with no wear. Near Mint condition.
