After his eight concerts in Leningrad and Moscow in May 1979, Elton John headed to the U.S. for a tour that ran from September 19 to November 11 that year. The tour was named the "Back in the U.S.S.A. American Tour 1979." Pretty clever. And the offered tour program was signed by Elton John for a fan named Ruth. The inscription reads "To Ruth Love Elton X." Ruth has also penned her name to the front of the program to lay her claim to its ownership, no doubt. The Russian tour was quite successful, and garnered a great deal of press, prompting Elton John to name the following set of shows as such. The program is accompanied by a letter of authenticity from Beckett Authentic. The program measures 9 1/2 x 12 3/4 inches and presents with mild wear to the very corners. Near Mint condition.
