The offered limited edition brown vinyl copy of the 1975 album Captain Fantastic and The Brown Dirt Cowboy has been signed by Elton John and Bernie Taupin on the inside of the gatefold. The included original small orange tab reads "This limited edition pressing is one of 2,000 personally autographed to thank you for your support." The packages were produced to be sent to executives, distributors and retailers to be used for promotional giveaway or the like, or most likely just to be kept! As it turned out, the album didn't require much promotion after its release--it sold 1.4 million copies in just four days, debuting at #1 on the Billboard charts. The lavishly designed album features Alan Aldridge artwork on both the cover and included fold-out poster. Both booklets, the orange sticker and the brown vinyl record are all here--complete sets don't show up that often! Elton and Bernie have neatly signed on their portraits on the inside of the cover. The album is accompanied by a letter of authenticity from Beckett Authentic. The album cover measures 12 1/2 x 12 1/2 inches and presents with only very mild wear to the corners. The other elements are in even better shape. Near Mint condition overall.
