Offered is an original concert poster promoting the show on November 12, 1974, at Pittsburgh's Civic Arena of the "1974 Elton John Tour." The metallic silver poster features the image of Elton John surrounded by piano keys that was used on all promotional materials created for the tour. The 1974 tour was supporting Caribou (which had been released six months after it was recorded in January) and Elton’s first Greatest Hits album (issued in just four days before this show), the tour comprised 45 concerts in 31 cities over a period of 70 days. It began at the Dallas, Texas Convention Center on September 25 and ended at The Spectrum in Philadelphia on December 3. The packed together tour dates required the use of a private plane, which was nicknamed "The Starship." The poster lists band members "Davey Johnstone, Dee Murray, Nigel Olsson and Ray Cooper" as well as "Special Guest Stars The Kiki Dee Band." The poster measures 12 7/8 x 21 1/4 inches and presents in Near Mint to Mint condition.
