The offered "Platt Mfg. Co." poster features a Carol Sheehan photograph of Elton John on stage in 1974. Copies of this poster undoubtedly graced the bedroom walls of many an Elton John fan in the mid-1970s, but this one escaped that fate. It survives with none of the wrinkling, pin holes, tape stains or other distresses normally suffered by fan posters. Produced in the period following Elton's biggest album Goodbye Yellow Brick Road, the poster might have been purchased the same day a fan also purchased 1974's Caribou or Elton John's Greatest Hits. Photographer Carol Sheehan's photos were used on several "Platt" posters in 1974, including David Bowie and Jimmy Page of Led Zepplin. The poster measures 23 x 35 inches and presents with little, if any, wear. Near Mint to Mint condition.
