The iconic one sheet movie poster offered promoted the legendary 1977 George Lucas written and directed, genre re-defining film Star Wars. Nearly identical to the standard, theatre-issued one sheets, this poster was created specifically to promote the film's soundtrack in record stors--it is distinguished from other one sheets by its addition of the "20th Century Records" logo on the lower right and box at the bottom that states "Original Motion Picture Soundtrack on 20th Century Records and Tapes." The film starred starring Mark Hamill (as Luke Skywalker), Harrison Ford (as Han Solo), Carrie Fisher (as Princess Leia), Peter Cushing (as Grand Moff Tarkin), Alec Guinness (nominated for the Best Supporting Actor Academy Award for this film; as Obi-Wan Kenobi), Anthony Daniels (as C-3PO), James Earl Jones (as the voice of Darth Vader), David Prowse (billed as "Dave Prowse"; as the man inside the Darth Vader suit!), Peter Mayhew (as Chewbacca), Kenny Baker (as R2-D2), and Phil Brown (as Uncle Owen). The poster measures 27 x 41 inches and presents with moderate edge wear from rolled storage, some mild staining and small tears and mild wrinkling. Excellent condition.
