The offered concert poster promotes Bruce Springsteen's three nights at The Capitol Theater in Passaic, New Jersey during his 1978 concert tour supporting his album Darkness on the Edge of Town. The poster advertises his upcoming shows on "September 19, 20 & 21, 1978." The artwork was created by Arlen Schumer, who at the time was the art director for the first Springsteen fanzine Thunder Road, that started publishing the same year. Schumer's illustration of Bruce playing to the nighttime sky like a specter above The Capitol theater was also used for a larger artwork placed on the Capitol's marquee during the run of three concerts.

The poster hails from what many still refer to as Bruce's strongest tour. Biographer Dave Marsh wrote in 1987, "The screaming intensity of those '78 shows are part of rock and roll legend in the same way as Dylan's 1966 shows with the Band, the Rolling Stones' tours of 1969 and 1972, and the Who's Tommy tour of 1969: benchmarks of an era."

The poster measures 16 3/8 x 24 3/4 inches and presents with one small tear on the right edge, some minor wrinkling and creasing from improper storage. Excellent to Mint condition.
