The offered record store poster/merchandising piece was produced by Columbia Records in support of Bruce Springsteen's 1978 album Darkness on the Edge of Town. The piece was designed for any number of promotional uses in the retail record stores of the late 1970s. The instructions on the back indicate it can be a backer-card for record bins and displays or as a poster on windows or walls. The top features the cover of the album, and the bottom portion features the same image with songs "Prove it All Night," "Badlands," "Racing in the Streets," "The Promised Land," and "Adam Raised a Cain."

The album was hotly anticipated by fans after the three year gap since Born to Run, and it sold three million copies, in respectable showing. The album and ensuing U.S. tour put Bruce back into the forefront of rock and roll. He never looked back.

The poster/backer card measures 12 x 22 inches and presents with little wear except for a couple small dings to the edges. The scored areas have never been bent. Near Mint condition.
