“Elton H. John” Signed 1971 Legal Document where He is Listed as “Reginald Kenneth Dwight Esq.” - Early Example of his New Name

Offered are the "Minutes of the Annual General Meeting of the Members of William A. Bong Limited, Held at 176 High Road, Finchley, London N2 9AS on 9th December 1971." The next line lists all the attendees: "Present: Reginald Kenneth Dwight Esq." Though his given name is still listed, Elton John has signed by his new name "Elton H. John" that would be changed legally in just a month's time, on January 7, 1972. Though the presented piece is a rather perfunctory corporate document, it represents what is surely one of the earliest examples of Elton John signing legal documents with his new name. The piece is accompanied by a letter of authenticity from Beckett Authentic. The sheet measures 8 1/4 x 11 3/4 and presents with some wear, wrinkles and oxidation where staples were used. Excellent condition.
