Carl Barks has neatly signed the offered lithograph in pencil on the lower right margin. The scene is entitled "Wanderers of Wonderland," and is one of countless images of Donald Duck and his compatriots Barks created for Disney Studio and Wester Publishing. The print features Uncle Scrooge, Donald, and Huey, Dewey, and Louie uncovering a fabulous treasure trove, while the Beagle Boys and Magica DiSpell lurk in the background. It's a classic example of the painted works Barks focused on for the final decades of his life.

Barks is a legend in the Disney world, starting at Disney Studios in 1935 where he created some of the first Donald Duck stories for cartoons and later, in the early 1940s, for comics and comic books. He basically created the world of Donald Duck as we know it, including Duckburg and many of its inhabitants, such as Scrooge McDuck (1947), Gladstone Gander (1948), the Beagle Boys (1951), The Junior Woodchucks (1951), Gyro Gearloose (1952), Cornelius Coot (1952), Flintheart Glomgold (1956), John D. Rockerduck (1961) and Magica De Spell (1961). Will Eisner called him "the Hans Christian Andersen of comic books." The lithograph measures 8 3/4 x 11 3/4 inches and presents in stunning Near Mint to Mint condition.
