Color photos of Elvis Presley from the 1950s are incredibly scarce. Most people didn't use color film due to the expense. But whoever took this beauty splurged, and it paid off! They captured a perfect profile image of the gleaming Elvis Presley in his prime, sitting in the back of a car with his good buddy and high school classmate George Klein. The processing date below the KODACOLOR stamping on the reverse is listed as "WEEK OF DEC 31 57." The photo was probably taken much earlier in the year, though, perhaps on tours in March or April. It emantes from a collection of photos from these months. The photo measures 3 1/2 x 3 1/2 inches and presents with moderate wear, some tape along the borders and some age-related toning. It does still maintain some of its trademark "KODACOLOR" toning. Excellent condition.
