The offered example of the Elvis Presley LP Elvis: As Recorded Live On Stage In Memphis was created specifically for radio stations, as evidenced clearly by the large white sticker on the front that reads “THIS ALBUM HAS BEEN BANDED FOR DJ USE” above the track listings. The vinyl itself is “banded,” which means there are visible demarcations between the tracks. This was done on DJ copies when the album had a continuous stream of music, such as in a live recording like the offered LP. This way DJs could still see where to start a track even though there is crowd noise between each song. Further differntiating this from a commercial copy of the album, which has catalog number CPL1-0606, the labels on the vinyl are marked with the catalog number “DJL1 0606.” These promotional copies are by definition very scarce, and the offered example is complete. The disc measures 12 inches in diameter and presents with moderate wear. arguably Very Good condition, perhaps technically lesser. The sleeve has moderate to heavy edge wear with some corner dings. Good+ condition.
