The offered large canvas banner is a perfect example of the variety of advertising that Colonel Parker employed to promote his star in and around his concert sites, with its large image of Elvis Presley, clean graphic elements and heraldic shape with upper corner grommets. The banner reads “ELVIS NOW THRU LABOR DAY” and has the logo and name of the Las Vegas Hilton in the lower left. The banner is dark blue, red and black, with “ELVIS” in bright red and blue circles designed to catch the eye and boldly declare its message. The canvas banner measures 41 by 27 inches and presents with moderate wear, a tear at the top, some staple holes at the four corners and some small areas of chipping. The banner was stored folded for some time, and creases remain, but it is not stored rolled. Excellent condition overall.
